Note: Most wind generators start generating at 9mph, and are at full load at 16 mph

Our new 60' stand-alone tower is installed, turbine is installed and running. This brings us to full power on the system. At 16mph wind it will develop 6kw. The new inverter came in but it was the wrong voltage and had to be returned. We should be getting the replacement soon.
I have been looking at the new Honeywell turbine. It looks solid and seems to work fine. The cost is a little high for the amount of energy produced. The say that the cost is around $4500.00 and $3000.00 for installation that brings the price to around $7500.00. The energy produced is about 2000 kwh per year. Lets do the math 7500dollars/2000kwh= 3.75 dollars per kwh for the unit and installation. The 6kw High Tec Energy system costs $41,550.00 and produces 28,565 kwh per year. Lets do the math 41,550dollars/28565kwh= $1.45 per kwh of installed power. While the High Tec Energy system will power your entire house without a gird tie, the Honeywell product will not. It will take 14 of these units to equal the output power of the High Tec Energy system @ $7500.00 each that is $105,000 dollars.
Look for our new green video.

We are now entering into our windy time of the year, the battery pack that was down to 109 volts dc is now after 2 days of 10 to 30 mph winds in fully charged at 140 volts. It took 2 days of wind with 2 2000kw generators. I have set one controller at a 150 volts dc in order to equalize the batteries after a period of low voltage. This cleans the cells.
The new 120vdc to 240vac inverter should arrive next week. I do have a 120vdc to 120vac 5kw inverter to sell $1500.00 plus shipping. reply commit
